The invention relates to machine parts, namely fasteners, and can be used to join structural materials. A known fastener for joining structural materials, made in the form of a cross-sectioned element of elastic material with a front penetration and rear ends, having a central axial section and side-mounted, angled to it, sections i. A disadvantage of the known fastener is the low quality of fastening due to the possibility of weakening the joining zones. The purpose of the invention is to improve the performance properties of the fastener. This goal is achieved by the fact that in a fastener for connecting structural materials, made in the form of a cross-sectioned element from; an elastic material with front penetrating and rear ends having a central axial portion and lateral angled to it, the portions located in the zone adjacent to the penetrating end are made with dilution elements to the side portions from the central axial portion. Breeding elements can be made in the form of end sections bent outwardly. Breeding elements can be made in the form of beveled end sections.
